Healing After Abortion
The Mansion at Elfindale
If Not For Grace Reconciliation Weekends offer
you a refuge to confidentially work through the process of
healing after abortion. In the midst of the setting at The Mansion
at Elfindale, you can be comforted to know that others who
truly understand are among you. It is our desire to provide an
atmosphere where you can experience unconditional love, grace
and forgiveness.
Many enter a weekend retreat with the understanding that Jesus
has forgiven them but have not realized the depth of grief that
has been locked inside for so long. You see, for many women
(and men), they recognize their child is gone but they have
never felt permission to mourn for him or her. During these
weekends, you are given an opportunity to acknowledge your
precious child’s life by naming your child and writing a letter/
poem in their honor. On Sunday, the weekend concludes with
a special memorial service where you are encouraged to invite
family and close friends. The tears of sorrow and joy often flow
simultaneously as each individual’s relationship is restored with
God, themselves, their child, and their family.
God longs to meet you and offer you His grace. In other words,
we don’t deserve it but His love is so amazing that He extends
His mercy at times He could have walked away from us. More
importantly, He sent His Son Jesus to die for us that we might
receive an even greater gift, the gift of eternal life (John 3:16.)
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to
accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
